Hailing from South Africa, SAEdeep debuts on Piston Recordings with the superb three track EP titled, True Intentions. A relative newcomer on the scene, SAEdeep has released his first tracks on SA based label, Deep Clicks Music. His sound is refreshing and wholesome with real deep flavour, we think he’ll fit right in at Piston.True Intentions kicks the release off, centring the groove around a raw, organic, slow burning vibe. Steady drums bring in the rhythm as mesmerizing chord pads ebb and flow effortlessly alongside dreamy notes and a simple, cool vocal shot. We Chose House adds a nice punchy sound to the EP, thanks to beautifully tweaked kicks and a shuffling percussion arrangement. Warm chord stabs add depth as various musical elements combine to create an intriguing loungy, urban groove. A chunky bassline controls the low-end, making this one perfect late-night floor fodder. Unexpected Turn concludes the release, opening with a cool vocal effect against a backdrop of thick beats and crispy hats. Warm basses caress the groove as soft flutes and cosmic FX layer up, forming a unique, trippy vibe that will not disappoint.
